I believe God exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one God, having the same nature, attributes and perfection.
I believe in God the Father, the One true and living God, Creator of heaven and earth and all moves and breathes within them. Knitting human life together after His own image, He is the Father of us all. All creation lives to bring glory to Him, through whom all things are possible.
I believe in Jesus Christ, who willingly descended from the heights of heaven to walk this dusty earth. After living a perfect life, He surrendered to the will of His Father, dying on the cross to atone for our sin. Then—miracle upon miracles—His body was resurrected from the dead, ascended to the heavens, and He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, making intersession for us. One day, the sky will be ripped open, revealing His glorious return.
I believe in the Holy Spirit who is indwelling every believer—whispering, guiding, reminding us of Christ’s words every day. His presence is what sets us apart in this world; His empowering is what enables us to live a holy life after Christ’s example. I believe in living by the Spirit and producing the fruit of the Spirit—by His grace alone. And thankfully, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
I believe we are born hopelessly lost—sinners by nature and by choice—and the cross of Christ is our only hope. Repentance is turning from sin towards God and asking for forgiveness. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross, not by anything we try to do to earn God’s favour. Receiving Jesus as our Saviour makes us children of God, adopted into His family, fellow heirs with Christ. True salvation is manifested by a transformed life as we walk in faith and obedience.
I believe in the inspiration and infallibility of the Bible, God’s Word—His heart spilled out in ink on the page. These words are sure and pure, giving light to our paths and wisdom for daily living. As the final authority for faith and life, they are to be clung to on the mountaintops and in the valleys. All of creation points to God, but only His living word reveals His specific nature and work. The Bible is opened with the sole purpose of meeting Christ on every page.
And I believe all of this should impact the way I live. His story transforming my story.
